WEDDING MUSICIANS AT CHAPEL ON THE HILL

The serenity of a place perched on a hill is heartfelt, the reason why romantics choose Chapel OnThe Hill for their marriage vows. It is circular with 360 degree view and a labyrinth walk fit for a bride who honestly believes of a solemn wedding. The wooden circular dome seats around a hundred guests.

When you commute from somewhere, then stops at the gate of Don Bosco, Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas, you can get a tricycle that takes around five minutes to reach. You can see a hanging wood from a tree branch with Chapel on the Hill inscribed on it. The dramatic part is that you have to ascend a stair to reach the main door. That is where the bride starts to walk with her white gown flowing.

Wedding musicians given the privilege to perform there is like a journey to inner peace. Being the first to arrive, we have the time to pray and meditate. We have the luxury to feel the sweet breeze on top. We can see a vast dip of earth and greens. We can see birds flying around. We see heaven.

PHILIPPINE WEDDING MUSICIANS AT TAGAYTAY

TAGAYTAY WEDDING DESTINATION

A wedding schedule held at Transfiguration Chapel of Caleruega gave us the opportunity to commune with the soul. The feeling around is hypnotic. The cool breeze felt at the top of a hill overlooking a vast green of trees and shrubs on mountain slopes. The powder blue clouds covering most of the sky above with birds flying around. The chapel is small that seats a hundred to the maximum but the sensation inside is different from the rest of the churches elsewhere. It is conjuring. It makes you kneel and pray.

The wedding ceremony started past 3pm. We were at the loft where wedding musicians are stationed. No need for a sound system to be heard and more solemn without. No need for rushing because that was the last wedding that took almost 2 hours including the pictorial after the ceremony.

Before leaving for the reception, most of the guests with the couple had shots around to catch up with the afternoon gleam. No need to rush but take photo memories from such supernal place. It will not be often being at Caleruega.

The trek from the chapel to the reception took us around 30 minutes. We passed a shortcut to avoid an ongoing road construction. Reaching the reception venue was no bother at all because we were made to rest as guests came in. If I was not mistaken, there were more than 200 guests dressed properly.

The program started after an hour with the flair of smoke, confetti and our music as the couple was introduced. We did the mother and son dance, followed by the father and daughter dance and finally the traditional first dance.

The dinner started with our wide-ranging music that took around 45 minutes, some minutes rest then our second set of another 45 minutes before our dinner, too when the program was nearly done.

Weddingmusicians from Manila like us seldom complain even when tired and weary for our mission is to add success to an event. The pay is small but the joy of sharing our music is big.

We put some touches when we deliver but most of all, being professional musicians, we are careful not to tarnish the music.
